Scope of Services

We do a lot of tasks to run a multi-letter campaign for you targeting people turning 65.

Please note our scope of services - this includes what we do (and what we don’t do).

Our Primary Role:

We Print. We Mail.

It’s that simple.

You want to send Turning 65 letters - but you don’t want to buy the expensive equipment required to send letters at scale. You don’t want to buy the permits for sending out mail in bulk. You don’t want to pre-pay for thousands of stamps and/or you don’t want to set up an indicia.

You don’t need to do any of that: We Print. We Mail. There has never been an easier way to send out letters to people turning 65.

Our Behind-the-Scenes Role: The back-office support

We Acquire Standard Mailing Lists (optional)

We purchase the list for you from a standard data company (SL360). If you have your own preferred data provider, you can submit your own list to us and we’ll use your list in the printings.

If we acquire the lists, we provide you with a copy of the lists. You can then use that information however you want within your marketing campaigns.

We Schedule Your Mailings (optional)

Our service includes scheduling your mailings after you place an order. We’ll think through a good sequence and we’ll think through how to time the mailing well for your campaign.

Want more control over the timing of your mailings? You can self-schedule your letters when you place an order.

We Format Letters - merging our pre-written content with your specific elements

We add your name, your return address, your website, your phone number — we can even add your logo,* your YouTube channel, a specific URL to a landing page….

Note: color elements within the letters would increase the cost. If you want letters to be sent in color, we charge $.08 per page extra. If you want to add a logo, but keep the costs lower, consider adding your black/white version of your logo.

We fold / insert / stamp / send

You have better things to do with your time. Turning 65 letters take a lot of time to produce if you are doing it on a small scale - you can use our company and leverage your time.

We handle NCOA compliance

Did you know that you can’t mail an “old” list unless you run it through the NCOA? The post office does not want excessive undeliverable mail to go through their system.

We handle Do-Not-Mail requests

If you make a sale or get someone in your pipeline (or get a do-not-mail request), simply e-mail us the line from your address file and we’ll remove that person from the next mailing(s).

We handle invoicing/billing questions

Your initial billing invoice will be e-mailed to you. You can save your card on file for future mailings or you can manually pay each time. If you have a question about a bill, just ask.

What we don’t do:

We don’t predict (or even estimate) your campaign ROI

It’s entirely possible for your campaign to give you a 4X FYC ROI (i.e., you spend $1,000 on the campaign, and generate $4,000 in First-Year Commission). We’ve hand agents achieve those numbers. It’s also entirely possible for your campaign to give you a negative FYC ROI. You can spend $1,000 on the campaign and earn $0 in First-Year commission.

A good target is 1X (i.e., spend about $1,000 in marketing, sell 3 med supps @ $250 FYC each + 3 PDPs w/ True-up ($81 in 2021) for about $1,000 in FYC) but it’s great if you can get a better ROI. Your ability to sell, your website on your letters, your follow-up, your market, how you sound on the phone when you get a call, and numerous other factors will all play into your individual ROI.

We don’t consult.

If you ask us, for example, “Should I send mail to people turning 65 in October?” our answer is that this is up to you

If you ask if you should mail to one zip code over another… or one county over another… our answer will be that this is up to you.

Want to know if a 3-letter will get you a higher ROI than a 4-letter campaign? Or a 6-letter campaign vs a 7-letter campaign? See above - we don’t predict (or even estimate) your campaign ROI. Our suggestion is to test them in your market and track your results. We’ve found a sweet spot to be about 5-7 letters kept within a local area to generate the highest ROI… with the first letter mailed out “early” in the T65 cycle (i.e. 7-8 months out) but your results may vary.

If you order a July campaign, and want to know if you should also order an August campaign - again, that’s your call. How aggressive do you want to be with your advertising? How many new clients are you looking to acquire? Those are questions that you as the agent can answer - we simply Print and Mail.

We are not paid to consult and the margin on printing/mailing is not enough for us to take time to consult with you on putting together a marketing campaign beyond the advice provided on the website.

To summarize this advice: Mail early, and mail often. If you order early enough and you choose for us to created your mailing schedule, we’ll be sure that your first letter hits the mailbox fairly early in the T65 cycle.

We hope to be an integral part of your T65 marketing. We wish you the best as you build your book of business!

Some final tips:

  • Mail Early & Mail Often.

  • Have a good website.
Many will check out your website before they call you.

  • Answer your phone.

  • Call people back.

  • Return their e-mails.

  • Answer their questions.

  • Follow up in writing.

After you talk with someone, if they don’t sign an app that day (common), send them your business card in the mail! (yes, snail mail.). Send them your e-mail info.

  • Ask for the sale!

  • Build a database of “Part A Onlys” and re-connect with your database over the coming years
This game is a marathon. People turning 65 in the next coming months will call your with questions - and some will still be working. Capture them in your database and create follow up tasks - - these prospects (that you paid good money to get in front of) will need you in the coming years. Keep in contact and write them when they retire.
